Serving the community of Bowness in Northwest Calgary, the Bowness Soccer Club is a recreational soccer program for players aged 3-16 years. Parent volunteers have tailored a program that supports and advances all skill levels through team practices, games, and special technical training sessions. In addition to developing athletic skills and team play, children can improve their overall physical fitness, build friendships within their community, and sleep better at night!

This program is hosted directly in the community with convenience being a high priority. Our primary playing field is Our Lady of Assumption Elementary School, located at 34ave NW (corner of Sarce Trail and 16th Ave). All games are scheduled on our home fields for younger age groups. Older age groups play half their games at home.  The fall recreational program is held in the main gym of Belvedere Parkway School at 4631 85 St NW.

The Bowness Soccer Club offers approximately 12 weeks of organized play each spring, as well as approximately 10 weeks of recreational play in the fall. Spring season runs from April to June, and Fall season runs from September to December.  Registration details for the spring 2010 will be forthcoming in the new year.

We know it is important for families to be active and enjoy the outdoors; this program provides a great opportunity for both. Children and youth get some real exercise, while their families benefit from getting to know the neighbours and being involved in the community.
