in-house training session in preparation for the 2010 spring season. CERTIFICATION COACHES TRAINING For the serious coach, CWSC is offering an in-depth coaches training course following the BFUT model. BFUT is an educational soccer institute dedicated to teaching Brazilian soccer in North America. The BFUT director, Thadeu Goncalves will be Director of Education as an external consultant to CWSC. CWSC offered a training clinic on April 16, 17, & 18. For more information on this, please visit www.calgarywestsoccer.com and follow the partnership BFUT links. HOUSE LEAGUE TECHNICAL TRAINING The Bowness Soccer Club has been fortunate to have Darrol Graham hold technical skills training sessions during our spring soccer season. There is no additional cost to attend the technical sessions. All costs are included in your registration so please take advantage of the program offered. The technical sessions consist of: 1. TEAM DEVELOPMENT Team development sessions occur during the regular practice/game schedule. Darrol will circulate through the teams to work with the coaches and players to learn new techniques and strategies for skill development. Darrol is a walking soccer resource book, full of tips and ideas. These sessions are an excellent opportunity for coaching development, and coaches can let Darrol know if there is anything specific that they would like help on. Darrol moves with the team and demonstrates skills in a practical way. He makes every effort to get to know each player, expecting and encouraging full parental participation on the field. 2. DROP-IN SESSIONS These technical sessions are optional, and well worth the extra time and effort. Darrol changes the focus each session (e.g., forward, attacking, goalie and defense), running a variety of challenging and fun drills to learn and improve specific soccer skills. Darrol excels in organizing sessions that match the sometimes broad skill set of the kids. With the assistance and participation of parents, the kids are encouraged to work hard and have fun. The technical sessions are open to ALL players registered with the Bowness Soccer Club. | ||||||
